The 1990s Old Pulteney 12 Year Old is an interesting piece of the distillery's modern history. The current Inver House-era Old Pulteney 12 was launched in 1997, following Inver House Distillers' acquisition of Pulteney in 1995.

Why it's interesting

This isn't simply an old bottle of today's Old Pulteney 12. 1997 was the first year of the modern distillery-owned Old Pulteney 12, making early examples interesting to collectors. The original presentation, including the distinctive maritime/ship imagery, was retained until the brand was redesigned in 2012.
