The MacNair's Lum Reek range comes to us from the GlenAllachie Distillers Company, created by the brilliant Billy Walker and his team. These blended malts combine whiskies from Speyside and Islay – both peated and unpeated malts working together for a complex, rewarding flavour profile. The name 'Lum Reek' comes from a traditional Scottish toast, "Lang may yer lum reek". Reckon you'd best say that when enjoying a glass of this. It's only fair. This is the 12 year old expression, drawn from a combo of red wine, Pedro Ximénez, and bourbon casks.
