DISTILLED 29th January 2014 AND BOTTLED 8th April 2026
Founded in Rothes and recognised for a lighter style with floral and malty notes. Matured in a hogshead and finished for over 3 years in an ex-Pineau des Charentes Rouge barrique for rich orchard fruits.
Diageo’s fourth smallest malt distillery and when not producing gin or temporarily closed, virtually all the make goes towards blends. We have paired this light and floral, almond and popcorn style of Speyside spirit with time in the lesser known red variety of the French fortified wine. The result is unctuous and decedent.
The tasting revealed sultana, cinnamon and strawberry liquorice.
