Highland Park Valfather is the third and final release in Highland Park's Viking Legend Series, following Valkyrie and Valknut. Named after Odin – the "Father of the Slain" (Valfather) in Norse mythology, it is bottled at 47% ABV and matured exclusively in refill casks to place the emphasis firmly on Highland Park's distinctive spirit character rather than cask influence. It is regarded as the peatiest whisky Highland Park has ever released, showcasing Orkney's uniquely aromatic heather peat rather than the medicinal style associated with Islay whiskies.
