Peat features heavily in Glenturret’s distilling history – records show that The Glenturret dug peat from the moss at their water source for whisky production in the early 1800s. Today they produce a small amount of peated spirit alongside their non-peated spirit from the same small stills. The Glenturret 10 year old Peat Smoked brings together the two-spirit styles of the distillery, matured in both first fill and second fill European and American oak casks.
