The GlenAllachie Wood Finish Series consists of innovative single malt expressions which truly embody the wonder of wood. Driven by his passion for cask management, Master Distiller Billy Walker works with niche producers from around the world to source casks of the highest quality which will be used to enrich the depth of the exquisite GlenAllachie spirit.

Exclusively bottled for the UK, this complex bronze malt enjoyed initial ageing for over 8 years in premium American oak ex-Bourbon barrels. Adding further richness and flavour, the whisky then enjoyed a finishing period of approximately 42 months in specially selected Marsala casks. A fortified wine produced on the Italian island of Sicily, these Marsala barrels have created a well-rounded palate bursting with sweet fruits and smooth caramel, leading to a velvety mouthfeel and long finish.

TASTING NOTES

COLOUR: Intensely Rich Bronze.

N O S E : Bursting with heather honey, vanilla and stewed fruit, with notes of liquorice, butterscotch and roasted nuts.

TASTE: Lashings of apricot, toffee and honeycomb, followed by hints of caramelised brown sugar, walnut and crème brûlée.
