Craigellachie 2010
The Gaelic word ‘Craigellachie’ means ‘rocky hill’ and it’s from this that the whisky takes its name. Standing alone, perched high on the rock of Craigellachie the distillery overlooks the confluences of the Rivers Fiddich and Spey, in the heart of Speyside.
Age – 12 Years
Cask Type – Guyana Rum Finish (finished for 24 months in French Oak puncheons that were first used for Cognac and then sweet and fruity Guyana Pot Still Rum)
Region - Speyside
Tasting Note – Savoury notes of roasted coffee beans and hazelnuts, balanced with ripe tropical fruit.
