This single malt was distilled at Tormore in 2015 and spent the next nine years maturing, including a finish in an amontillado sherry cask. The cask was opened by The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. for The Golden Cut Collection, releasing 396 bottles at a generous 50% ABV.
Nose
Rich oak and vanilla lead, with honeyed stone fruits and a touch of praline.
Palate
Nutty malt, runny toffee, and creamy milk chocolate, with leathery oak and soft spices beneath.
Finish
Oily malt lingers, with waxed citrus, vanilla fudge, and nutty biscotti.
